YSHOC is open to all OMS students. Students will have an opportunity at the beginning of the year to sign a pledge to be drug, alcohol and tobacco free for a period of one year. All members receive a free YSHOC T-shirt. There are no meetings. The advisors organize three after school activities over the school year that are open to all YSHOC members.

There is a student committee made up of reps from all three grades. The representatives plan activities for Red Ribbon Week and Kick Butts Day as well as the after school activities.
