The Science Olympiad team is a great place to meet others and collaborate on all types of science projects in a competitive environment. We usually meet a minimum of one-two times each week between November and April, and practice times are very flexible with other activities. During that time we also compete at three different Saturday tournaments, which usually include an Invitational at the University of MN and our Regional and State competitions. Students can win both individual and team awards in science events like Anatomy, Disease Detectives, Crimebusters, Fossils, or Meteorology as well as engineering events like Mousetrap Vehicle, Boomilever, and Ping-pong parachute. The events change every year, which keeps each competition fresh and interesting. All students in grades 6-8 are welcome to join.
