Best Buddies is an international organization. One of its pillar programs is a friendship club promoting 1:1 friendships between students with and without intellectual (IDD) and developmental disabilities, in which friends share interests, experiences, and activities. Students with IDD are often isolated and left out of social activities. Best Buddies Middle Schools helps to create an inclusive middle school culture for all students early on in their educational development. The OMS Best Buddies club meets monthly after school or during SOAR.
